If you could be any animal in the world, what would it be? If you said a dog or cat, you’d be right up there with the 2 most common answers given to us when we went out and asked a random sample of 500 adults this very same question.
Dog and cat each received 16% of the votes, while a generic “bird” received 8% of the votes. Tigers and lions were tied – with 7% of respondents selecting these animals, respectively.
Men and women answered this question a bit differently.
Men were more likely to say they wanted to be a dog (11%), lion (10%), cat (10%), eagle (7%) or a tiger (7%).
Women were more likely to say they wanted to be a cat (18%), dog (14%), bird (10%), tiger (8%) or a dolphin (6%).
Among all respondents, honorable mentions include the wolf (4%), horse (2%), bear (2%), cheetah (2%) and elephant (2%).
